BaseTech Know what needs attention
ITMSS TIER 01 · SEE
See the condition. Keep control of the action.
BaseTech gives a capable internal team or authorized technology resource a managed visibility layer across the supported environment — with the same baseline cybersecurity posture used throughout MGI’s ITMSS tiers.
BaseTech shows and triages what needs attention; your authorized resource keeps hands-on control.
Built for capable operators
You’ve got someone who can act. They need a better view.
BaseTech isn’t a cut-down help-desk plan. It’s a deliberate co-managed posture for organizations that want MGI’s monitoring and baseline security capabilities while retaining hands-on responsibility elsewhere.
An internal technical lead
A capable employee or team can administer the environment but needs a consistent monitoring and security layer around supported systems.
A trusted outside resource
Another authorized provider performs the hands-on work while MGI supplies monitored visibility and a defined notification path.
Control is intentional
The organization wants to retain change authority and execution while improving awareness of conditions that may require action.
Blind spots are the problem
The immediate need isn’t outsourced support. It’s knowing what’s happening across the supported environment with less tool-by-tool guesswork.
Visibility with an operating purpose
BaseTech turns raw signals into an actionable view.
Tools can create more noise than clarity. BaseTech adds an operating layer around the supported stack so relevant conditions are identified, triaged, and surfaced to the people responsible for what happens next.
Security parity
The entry tier doesn’t intentionally weaken MGI’s common baseline cybersecurity posture to manufacture a lower-value package.
Monitored awareness
MGI maintains visibility into supported systems and the conditions exposed through the authorized service stack.
Signal triage
Relevant alerts are reviewed in context before the condition is communicated, helping separate attention-worthy signals from raw platform output.
Clear handoff
Notification is paired with an explicit boundary: your team or another authorized resource owns investigation, administration, coordination, and resolution.
What SEE looks like
Visibility becomes valuable when the next action is clear.
BaseTech gives the responsible operator a more useful starting point. It doesn’t imply that MGI has taken over the hands-on work.
A supported endpoint reports a condition
A platform signal may be meaningful, noisy, duplicated, or connected to a broader condition.
MGI valueThe authorized operator receives a clearer condition to investigate instead of relying only on a raw tool alert.
A supported backup technology reports failure
A failed job is different from a validated recovery problem, but it still needs a responsible owner.
MGI valueThe failure is surfaced without blurring monitoring into backup administration or a recovery guarantee.
A lifecycle condition becomes visible
Aging or unsupported technology is easier to address when it becomes a decision before it becomes an emergency.
MGI valueThe organization gains earlier decision context while retaining ownership of planning and execution.
The visibility dividend
A known environment is easier to operate.
Visibility doesn’t eliminate incidents, but it can replace disconnected tool checking with a clearer operating picture. That picture becomes more useful as supported systems, conditions, and handoffs remain visible over time.
BaseTech doesn’t sell outsourced action. It sells the ability to see sooner and hand off more deliberately.
-
01
Unknown
Conditions live in separate platforms and are discovered when a user complains or an operator remembers to look.
-
02
Observed
Supported systems feed a common monitoring and baseline security posture rather than depending on isolated manual checks.
-
03
Triaged
Attention-worthy signals can be distinguished from raw platform noise through MGI’s initial review role.
-
04
Actionable
A defined notification and ownership boundary helps the responsible resource know when the work is theirs to carry.
Clear by design
BaseTech is intentionally clear about where MGI stops.
Secure visibility only works when the receiving organization has an authorized, capable resource prepared to act. If your team wants MGI to carry the routine action as well, CoreTech is the more appropriate operating role.
- MGI’s common baseline cybersecurity protections for the supported environment
- Monitoring, alert identification, and initial triage through supported platforms
- Notification when a relevant supported condition needs attention
- Covered-environment and subscription administration appropriate to the tier
- Hands-on end-user troubleshooting and routine administrative changes
- Network, identity, application, and backup administration
- Vendor coordination, remediation, and resolution execution
- Projects, material changes, on-site work, strategic planning, formal continuity work, and full incident response
One foundation · three operating roles
Choose how much of the operating load MGI carries.
Every tier begins with the same baseline cybersecurity posture. The meaningful difference is what happens after something needs attention.

Questions buyers ask about BaseTech.
Clear operating roles make it easier to compare real responsibility — not just tool names and checkmarks.
Is BaseTech the cheaper version of CoreTech?+
No. BaseTech is a different operating role. It retains the common baseline cybersecurity posture and monitored visibility while deliberately leaving hands-on investigation, administration, coordination, and resolution with your team or another authorized resource.
Does BaseTech include end-user help desk support?+
No. BaseTech doesn’t include routine hands-on end-user troubleshooting. Relevant monitored conditions may be surfaced, but the authorized operator remains responsible for investigation and action.
Can BaseTech work alongside internal IT or another provider?+
That’s one of its strongest use cases. The receiving resource must be capable, authorized, and prepared to carry the operational work after MGI’s notification. Responsibilities and communication paths should be defined in the applicable proposal and Applicable Order.
Does monitoring mean every problem will be detected?+
No. Monitoring is limited to the supported environment, available platform signals, selected scope, and operating conditions. BaseTech doesn’t guarantee detection, prevention, availability, response, resolution, recovery, or any specific outcome.
Build the visibility layer
Know what needs attention — without outsourcing the controls.
Tell MGI what you already operate, who’ll carry the hands-on work, and where visibility is fragmented. We can help determine whether BaseTech creates the right boundary.
